Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, singer of country music and songwriter, when she was a character in the series One Tree Hill. She was Alex for three of its final four seasons. Jana Kramer's first country releases were featured in the episodes of One Tree Hill and helped to push her debut album in 2012 to the top 20 of the Billboard 200. Thirty One, her follow-up album, released in 2015, climbed into the Top Ten. In the final decade of her career, she made appearances at Dancing with the Stars. Released in 2021 was the self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer began acting in 2002, when she was just a teenager. Following a couple of guest appearances for All My Children or CSI: NY, Kramer landed Noelle Davenport's recurring role in NBC Friday Night Lights in the 2nd season, 2007-2008. Kramer went to appear as Portia Ranson on 90210 2008-2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before being cast on the show on the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in 2009 where she continued to appear until the finale season in 2012. She was a signer of an agreement in 2009 with Elektra Records, and she debuted her contemporary country love song I Won't Give up in the One Tree Hill 2011 episode. Focusing on her music career following that, and not resigning from acting Kramer appeared in movies like Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would be popular with her fan base. Kramer has released her second studio album, Thirty One with Warner Music Nashville, in October 2015. I Got the Boy (a Top Five country single) and Steven Tyler's duet on Aerosmith helped the album to achieve even greater success which saw it reach the top three spot on the Billboard 200. In September of 2016, her appearance on the 23rd Season of Dancing with the Stars lasted two months before ending in a fourth place final. Also, she scored an adult contemporary hit in the form of Feels like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
